The Eligibility and Enrolment Committee has now officially been created. The Enrolment Committee is tasked with reviewing applications and determining if applicants fit the eligibiltiy criteria set out in the In-SHUCK-ch Nation Final Agreement.
According to our funding agreement, In-SHUCK-ch is required to have 7 people on the Committee. Each band had to go through their own process for choosing their two members. We have one member at large, which is chosen through the INIG.
The members are Alvin Gabriel, Ina Berg, Agnes Giesbrecht, Tammy Peters, Sylvester Sam, Willamina Jim, and Cecille Comeau. We have had two meetings to date. The first one we all got to know each other a bit better.During the second meeting, we worked on a Terms of Reference and started to work on the Policies and Procedures. After those are accepted, the Committee will work on the application form.
When we mailed out the brochure regarding Eligibility and Enrolment earlier this fall, our intention was to have the application forms available on our website. However, the Enrolment Committee needs to approve the application forms before they can be posted. Once the forms are ready, we will be sending applications to everyone that we have on our mailing list (hopefully by January or February, 2010). To have your name included on our mailing list, please contact one of the Eligibility and Enrolment workers listed below. The forms will also be made available on this website.
